I encoded a File in Virtual Dub using Xvid codec. I really cant get any other codec to work. When i tried to convert the file using TMPGenc, I couldn't encode it.
Is there anyway to make TMPGenc encode this AVI file?
I want to encode in MPEG2 for CVD.... at 23 fps 16:9 ratio, NSTC, 2 pass VBR, at 2600 max,2600avg,1700min.

Xvid (Divx backwards) is also a new codec its a carry on where DivX 4.8 (but not the same codec) left off, I see no advantage at all for using this codec, just because its new and available.
What does TMPGEnc say when you try ? -
Xvid is a great codec, in fact it has been designed to be ISO mpeg 4 compatible, so if you use it, then you will be able to play it on future DVD's and in future software players (Example Quicktime 6). Also the people behind the codec are working in hard things (like B frames and other stuff), that divx at this time not use.

Well The reason why I wanted to encode in Virtual Dub the first time is because the video had some logos and Virtual Dub had the plugins to remove them. Is there anyway to remove them with TMPGEnc?

There is NO need at all for xvid
