    i convertedmy first avi file to mpeg yesterday and it worked perfect, the sound and everyting was right, but i tryed it on a different movie today and i did the same exact thing but there is no sound at all?, can someone help me?

    You need to give us more information.

    Were you following a guide on this site?
    Which programs did you use to do the conversion?
    Did you download the AVI file from the internet?
    Did the AVI file have sound when you played it directly?
