Get rid of the Apex!. Really. They stopped VCD support on all models manufactured after April 15, 2002. That's the end of all (X)VCD's for Apex. They only support SVCD and DVD from now on.
I can highly recommend a JVC XV-F80BK. I have one, and it plays just about everything you throw at it.

  4. That dvd player seems to be of good quality. Its a bit expensive but the fact that it has 7cd carousel is and plays vcd, svcd, kvcd and is compatible with all sorts of formats is pretty cool. Thx, ill definatly look into that one. I dont mind paying a little more for good quality.

  5. DeLpHoNiC, you won't be dissapointed
You'll love that player! Specially to watch multi disk movies.
We just watched ( again for like the 3'rd time ) Kate & Leopold, just to verify the SKVCD movie in two CD's, and it's a perfect play. No jumps, no hickups, no nothing!. Just perfectly smooth. I encoded the audio as "Dolby Surround 2 " and it's just a blast!
