I have an AVI file I captured at full DV quality (720X480) from an analog VHS tape that has a white line on each side of the video. Is there an easy way to crop the video and remove the right and left edge.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Gary

Download VirtualDub from the tools section in this site and get playing.
Cropping is implemented as a filter within VirtualDub (look for null-transform). Have a look at some of the other filters while you're in there. VirtualDub makes it easy to denoise your video, add subtitles and much, much more..
Once you are happy with your video in VirtualDub then you must save the new file out or frameserve it to your next application.
