A guide,any guide

I am lookn for a guide for the newbies to use. What i am lookn for is the "how to's" on taking multiple files and joining them together to create a single file.I am just tryn to start at the "newbie" bottom and work my way up the knowledge ladder.
Please dont flame this question beause at one time,everyone was in this position.

On the sidebar of this forum, Left side, are a list of topics. In the Green section are HOW TO's.
One topic is EDIT. Under EDIT it says Cut or join video. If you click on that, it'll tell you how to
do it in various ways. The guide is there.

Now, so your posts are a little clearer: What kind of files? avi mpg vob ???

If it's your encoded mpg's, just use TMPGenc, Choose FILE --> MPEG Tools --> Merge or Cut

add your files to the box and hit RUN.
