My MPG is about 1gig for a movie that is about 1 hour 40 min. Are most movies this long have to go on 2 cds or am i doing something wrong to fit it on 1 cd?
Thanks

The size of the mpeg file is dependant on the bitrate you use during encoding.
A lower bitrate will produce a smaller file but the quality will suffer.
I encode my movies at a CQ bitrate of max 2300 and a movie of around 1hr 20 mins is about 1.8 gig or so.
I cut it up in CD size chunks with TMPGenc merge&cut and then burn
