    ive been burning divx to vcds, but now i am getting and error saying:

    "the request ausio compression is not compatible with the input format. check the sampling rate and channel count of the input match those of the request format."

    the compression of the audio in the file informations says unknown(tag0055)

    is there a way where i can save the audio to wave?

    Yep . Download Virtua Dub from the tools section. Load the movie into it and click save audio to wav.

    If it says unknown, you have a codec missing
    Try Installing the Nimo codec pack and DivX 5.
