  1. Maximum. I had a similar problem. If I left the settings at the default in Virtual VCR I was fine. As soon as I made ANY changes then the audio was out of sync.

I think I am going to use Vegas Video for most capturing and VDub as a secondary choice.

The only annoying problem with Vegas Video is the playback of the sound.
The picture is perfect and the sound is in sync but when listening to it while recording is has this weird echo. But the video it makes is fine on playback. The echo is only during the actual recording.
Not only am I perfect but I'm Canadian too!

  3. When capturing video, you cannot just pick a random frame rate. The frame rate controls the audio/video sync and it has to match the original video source. If you capture NTSC video, the frame has to be set to 29.97 and only that value. If PAL, then 25.0 only. If you try to capture at other frame rates, the audio will not stay in sync with the video. Someplace, something has to give because of the wrong frame rate.

Thanks Mr.Moderator for the informative information for I never know that will be my problem. But I still have another confusion:

I cap satellite TV with VirtualDub(704x576) at 25fps and later resize it to 352x288, encoding it with TMPGEnc and burn onto VCD. The disc is playable BUT why the vertical resolution is stretched..!! It almost cut a quarter of MTV logo...!!! Again...using the same source, I resize to 352x240 and now it's look better than the first attempt. The movie fit onto my tv screen though now the horizontal resolution looks stretch a little bit making a cute face more wider than what it should be.

My country using PAL system, and my display/capture card has a jumper that already set to PAL. Help me.....

    Maximum . . .

Can you tell us the template that you use when encoding with TmpgEnc? If you don't use a specific template, then at least let us know all the settings in TmpgEnc that you use!!

    Cheers,

    B

    constant bitrate (CBR)

    Motion Search Accuracy:Highest quality(very slow)
