Anyone tried these?

They are Gen3, have a light purple recording surface and available from various places (www.bigpockets.co.co) for £38 for 90 disks.

Thought I would give em a try and have managed to record 4 movies so far (using a Pioneer DVR-104 and Nero, with the help of IFOEdit and SmartStripper) with 100% success so far. They play in my Pioneer 515 under the TV no problem.

So far so good, anyone else got an experience with these disks?

Wow, I thought DVD-R disks cost about £5 each.

DVD-Rs are only 5 pounds a disc (or 6 US Dollars) if you buy them in retail electronic stores.

I'm sure many places online charge less because you have to buy in bulk (nothing wrong with buying in bulk).

Gen3 Datasafe discs are almost identicle to my DVDPro discs that I purchased from www.meritline.com for about $0.90 (US funding) each. I think they are all manufactured by Princo or Ritek.

Anyway I've gone through about 30 discs of these already and don't have any problems with the exception of the problems that I create myself.

I bought 90 of those Meritline DVD-R's a month ago, and I have had great success! Hell, 90 DVD-R's for $90.90 w/ free shippingin the US. I use DVD Decriptor and Ifoedit with Nero to Burn. They all burn great on my Pioneer DVR-104 drive. All of them have worked on my Sony stand alone player.
