  1. I'm trying to convert using TMPGEnc from Quicktime files to MPEG 1 for a VCD. The video is coverting fine, but I seem to be turning them into silent movies. Anyone with any ideas on what I could be doing wrong....or should I paste in a piano back track and some caption card shots?

NB I have read the CONVERT guides and I have installed Quicktime and the relevant files for TMPGEnc to recognise QT

  3. Thanks for the suggestion. I've tried it now - it didn't give me any sound, but it did make the picture quality dreadful.

Should I be extracting the audio first with some other software, or should I just be able to specify the same .MOV file for both video and audio sources?
