I have been trying to encode some DIVXMPG4 V3 movies so that i can burn them to vcd, which im managing to do.
the problem that im having is when i encode them to the vcd format and burn them, When it comes to the playback it is very jerky and not watchable at all......![]()
Can anyone recomend a decent encoder for these type of files that will prevent this happening....
Im also slpitting the files with Avi Splitter before encoding them so the file size is small enough to fit on vcd......
Where oh where am i going wrong here ??????![]()

check the audio of the created mpeg file on the vcd...use mpegprop (tools section to the left..bottom of list.)
Make sure you create a compliant VCD ! Try TMPGenc for converting and nero for burning.
Media can be the problem...does it play on the pc ?
Is dvd capable of playing VCD ?

Nero is superb burning software, but unfortunately a trouble-laden MPG encoder. Encode with TMPGEnc (or CCE, Procoder, etc) and burn with Nero.
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war." -
