    I am having trouble with the conversion of a avi to mpg2 with tmpg.
    The first file I did the procedure with (conversion avi to mpg2, cutting it and burning it as SVCD) worked fine. However, I have now a 1h45min movie in avi. tmpgencoder shows me an estimated filesize of over 8GB!
    It also shows in the wizard that the movie has a lenght of 420 minutes!

    Can anybody help me?

    Could be a bug in the wizard, try encoding a minutes worth , then calculate the full size from the size of the 1 minute file.
