  1. HELP PLEASE!!!

When I try to view the avi file in the project wizard so that I can convert the source range I want ... all I see is blank .. the screen is black .. I check the properties of the avi file ... the video code is divxmpg4 v3 ... where can I get the codec for that? or I probably already have that codec since I can see the avi file in my media player... what do I have to adjust in TMPEG to be able to view that file ...

    thanks ....

    TMPGEnc
    Select options > environmental settings
    click the VFAPI plug-in tab
right click the "DirectShow" and select higher priority, do this several times until its at the top with a value of 4

If you are able to open the movie in TEMPGEnc, you got the
    right Codecs installed.
Try to run the complete movie instead.
    And afterwards...open mpeg tool.
And cut out the part you want...

Not true, TMPGEnc will open some AVI's because the codec is similar
3.11 Alpha, DivX 4.8, but if its DivX 5 you get a black screen unless you have DivX 5
