    i have a question for everyone. virtualdub has an option to process a folder and convert everything in it at one time (instead of selecting one by one). is there a program that has an option to convert to mpg files like that??? i have over 2000 clips (3 - 4 min) that i would like to convert to mpg to make some vcds. thanks in advance.

    Yes. TMPGEnc also does batch encoding. When you use the wizard function, one of the final functions allows you to add your project to abatch file for processing at a later time.
