i am trying to convert a high quality divx file with mp3 sound to a non-standard vcd (a weird xvcd). anyways, when I watch the movie in windows media player it plays the sound and video fine. but in tmpeg when i select my video source, it doesnt automatically also use that file as a sound source, and when i try to manually enter it in the sound source, it says the file is unsupported. obviously when i encode it without a sound source i end up without sound in the mpg. any suggestions?

move the direct Show filters in TMPGEnc to a higher priority Select options > environmental settings
click the VFAPI plug-in tab
right click the "DirectShow" and select higher priority, do this several times until its at the top with a value of 4
this worked for me -
ok, that fixed it.. kinda. now when i play it on my dvd player it has jerky video and the sound is just a little out of sync. i know that my dvd player can handle the 2400 bitrate, thats not the problem, cause i've played 3500 bitrate shorts on it with no problems before. what do you think the problem is now? before without the sound it wasnt jerky at all... so obviously it has to have something to do with the vfapi settings i changed or the sound itself....
