#1---Used TMPG Rnc to encode am avi to mpg--when i go to burn through Roxio 5.0 VideoCD says it cannot burn.??????????????

#2---Can I use my computer while converting avi to mpg--it is a long process?????????

#3---Alot of avi movies I have wont show up when I load them in TMPG????????????????????

I have a 1Gig Speed 384Ram---and have tried 4 or 5 programs now--including LSX-mpeg--Roxio Conversion--TMPG---Avi2vcd

1) Roxio requires a fully compatible VideoCD format, have you remembered to load a VideoCD Template in TMPGEnc AFTER you opened your file for encoding ?

2) You can use your computer while encoding, but this will make the process even longer.

3) An AVI isn't just an AVI, it can be encoded with strange codecs, some are familiar to TMPGEnc and it can open them (MJPEG/DivX for example) and some have unknown codecs and it cannot open them.
