  1. I have produced SVCD compliant MPEG-2s frameserving from premiere 6.0 with the videoserver plugin to TMPGenc and also encoded a similar file directly with the LSX premiere plugin. The source material was premiere captured DV. The MPEG files look good (the TMPGenc far superior to the LSX) with no flicker but when I burn the files and play them on my standalone the top third of the screen flickers. My standalone is toshiba SD-220E, I have had no problems playing other SVCDs on it (although this is the first time that they are DV source files).
I have tried burning with Nero (5.5.9) and DVD workshop (1.2) as well as reducing the burning speed and trying different media - all to no avail. Also I created a VCD (panasonic premiere plugin) from the same material which did not have the same flicker. Can anyone suggest what is going wrong and how can I rectify it, thanks in advance, Dom.

  2. Your field order is wrong. Switch between field A (upper) and field B (lower) should fix it.

  3. I tried switching field order, as well as trying deinterlaced neither got rid of the problem. The MPEG files look great on the PC and apart from the flickering look superb. The problem has happened with SVCDs encoded from two different DV camcorders, on one the top part of the screen flickered, on the other the bottom. I am now most confused, any further help would be gratefully received, Dom.
