have recently switched over from dvd workshop to spruce up after terrible probs. but there was one really cool feature that let me add music as a background to my menus. it doesnt seem poss to do this with spruce.
is there any way to add the music in later, this kinda leads to my other question as well. i have several movies in vob format from dvd rips. there are no menus at all with these, i can create the neccesary ifo files, but how do i enter custom menus

I don't think spruceup lets you add music to menu backgrounds. One option is to create an aminated menu in M2V format and create the sound to go with it, with the same filename with AC3 extension. Don't know what utils will create AC3 sound file as this is usually 5.1 sound me thinks ?
Anyway, you could add menus to vob files by using smartripper or dvddecrypter and demux the sound and audio to the above formats (M2V and AC3). If the 2 are 4.3gb roughly or lower, import M2V file into spruceup (note both M2V and AC3 must have same filename / rename to suite - but leave extensions ). Author your menus then write disc. I usually use spruceup to create dvd image and use primodvd to burn.
