when I try to do a 2-pass the end product plays on my dvd (mustek)
but wont play on my sons or his mates1 a sony the other a cheep tescos one that seems to play everything else.
My question is am I doing something wrong?
In tmpeg I load the standard pal template then load the unlock one in the extra folder and change the video setting to 2-pass
then start encoding
Should i do something else?
also could somone advise me what is the best aspect ratio to use
full screen / full screen keep aspect ect

the vcd standard requires CBR at 1150kbs, 224 audio. 2 pass might
not work as this creates a variable bit rate which some players don't like.
Stick to CBR (constant bit rate) at 1150 or CQ at 1150.
(tmpgenc 2 pass at defaut vcd bitrates is a waste of time anyway, those that use two pass usually set the maximum bitrate quite high) -

You should always choose a video arrange method that involves *keep aspect ratio* if you want to keep the aspect ratio.Usually, the best choice is full screen (keep aspect ratio).
