  1. Hey Peeps. I'm gonna buy a home DVD player... I need to know which is better for making VCD's, Nero or VCDEasy? I used Nero to make a VCD out of an MPG file, and when it burned, I looked at the contents on the CD and there were 5 folders. Each one was named CDI, EXT, MPEGAV, SEGMENT, and VCD. I found the actual movie file in the folder MPEGAV, but it is a DAT file.

I then burned the same MPG file with VCDEasy. I looked at the contents on the CD after burning it, and there is only the movie file, and it is in MPG format. What I need to know is if a DVD/VCD player needs those other folders to play a DVD and if it needs to be a DAT file, or if I can view it simply as an MPG movie file on a DVD player?

ANYONE who can help, please let me know.

As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."
