autoplay for VCDs in DVD player?

whenever I burn Mpeg files on a VCD, my DVD player opens with menus, etc. showing folder(s), etc., etc.

All I want the player to do is to start playing the video file on the disk without making me go thru menus and choices, etc.

Is there a little utility I can burn in front of the video file that will instruct my DVD player to just play the darned thing?!!
