I have trouble with the VCD's I play in my inbuilt CD player, using WinDVD v3.1.

The VCDs play yes, but the picture stutters what looks like every second.
I have reduced the graphics to 16 bit and a few other steps to try to speed it up, but no luck. It did improve the playing from the even poorer performance before, but still not the stuttering.

I would have thought that a 600Mhz PC with a GeForce2/64Mb card would play VCDs with no trouble.

Are there any other steps I can take to improve the playing ?
