need help!!!

i have read so much, downloaded many programs....

burnt a bin with cdrwin on a cdr, got bunch of dirs with a .dat file in the mpegav folder. put it in my dvd player and i get a grey picture with lines going down the screen & can faintly hear the sound.... this is the second vcd of three this has happened.

i got a phillips magnavox dvd825, it worked well with a SVCD on a same cdr disc, if anyone can help me out, it would be greatly appreciated.

Did you make the wrong type ? NTSC > PAL
