do I scan for junk frame of the avi file or mpg file? And where do I go in VirtualDub to do that? Sorry, not familiar with this program ..
really appreciate your help .. thanks. .. -
It is always best to edit AVI's and get them as best as possible before converting. Vdub does have a problem with scanning at times, which is a known problem, and we hope it will be fixed next time.
Vdub
Video > Scan video stream for errors
If it finds any, it will list them at the bottom of the screen, to remove them you only need to save out another copy of the AVI using streaming.
Video > Direct stream copy
Audio > Direct stream copy
SAVE AVI
If Vdub gives problems, you need to use an old hacked version called "vdub-mp3-freeze.exe"
Download from Kazaa or
http://www.digital-digest.com/dvd/downloads/virtualdub.html
This version make a log of the bad frames at c:\badframes.log which you can then use to delete the frames (At keyframes) starting with the highest block first
