  2. Is your player capable of playing cdr or cdrw, as I see from the compatability list that some zenith players won't play them, I can't see yours listed though. Try copying an audio cd and see if it plays, if it does'nt then I am afraid you are stuffed.

  4. Mabs I have a toshiba cd-1200 so its close and probably the same.

I have not found a CD-R that will work. But if I burn the VCD on a CD-RW then it works. It has worked on HP and Memorex CD-RW. It seems to like the smokey gray dye they use.
Not only am I perfect but I'm Canadian too!

  5. It does play audio cdrs but not mp3. does vcd go hand in hand withaudio cdr?

  6. No, audio cdr and VCD have nothing to do with each other. I was trying to narrow down the problem, some players wont play VCD, some wont play CDR, and some wont play CDR or VCD. If you say you can play a copied audio cdr then you have eliminated the fact that it is not a cdr compatability problem. Providing you are using the same brand of disc for making your VCD. Some players are fussy and will only play certain brands of CDR. It may be that it is the VCD format that your player can't handle, does it say it can play VCD on the box or in the manual.

  7. Craig,

I have a DVD-ROM and a CD-R/RW drive. I burned it using the CD-R/RW drive and then tried to play it back in the DVD-ROM drive. But it will not play. But if I put a store bought DVD into my DVD-ROM drive it plays fine. Are u saying that I should try viewing or playback of the burned cd into my CD-R/RW drive? This is all new to me, it's something that I find interesting and would like to be successful in doing.
