I'm kinda new to capturing, so here's the situtation.
Under the compression options for the Huffy codec...
Predict left / Predict gradient / Predict median
'Predict median' being the best compression, but I lose frames, and less frames using 'Predict gradient'. But when I use 'Predict left', I rarely lose any frames.
My main question is if I continue to use 'Predict left' as my compression method, will there be any degrade in the QUALITY of the capture versus using 'Predict gradient' or 'Predict median'? Or will my filesize just be larger only if I chose to continue using 'Predict left' ?
Hopefully my question isn't confusing to understand..
Thanks for any help.

In general, this settings will NOT affect picture quality. It always preserves the original image, bit for bit.
"Predict left" is fastest because it's the simplest technique. The "predict median" method is slower because it's a more sophisticated technique, but that sophistication yields better compression.
