Trying to convert a 2 CD SVCD back to an MPEG. I want to later join the 2 MPEGs into 1 file.
Now my problem is that when I convert the SVCD back to MPEG the ratio looks skewed or squished. I've tried with both VCDxRIP and VCDGEAR and both give the same thing so I'm guessing it's probably something I'm doing wrong or something I don't understand quite right.
When the SVCD is played in my DVD player or on powerDVD it looks fine.
If anyone wants screen shots to see what I'm talking about to help just ask.
Thanks

Start with both of your SVCD mpeg's in the same directory, labelled sequentially...ie clip01.mpg, clip02.mpg
Open dvd2avi, load clip01.mpg, it should automatically load clip02 as well.
Save a project of it similarly to the process of creating a project for ripping a DVD.
Load up TMPG with your desired VCD template, the important issue here is to choose a 1:1 Source Vid Aspect, as well as set your encode Aspect ratio to Keep ASpect Ratio (the top choice)
See the cap of the Adv Vid Settings on this page for a visual... http://www.vcdhelp.com/tmpgenc.htm Middle of the page
