I'm having a little problem and i hope you guys can help me out
I recently got the Lifeview Flyvideo 3000 as my tv capture card. It works fine with its bundled software.
When i used virtualdub to capture instead, i chose the source as the video composite as thats where the video is coming from. I can use it once, as soon as i leave virtualdub i cannot use it to capture anymore. If i choose the capture AVI option, i get an error saying another program is using it, the same error message is given when i use other programs except Flyvideo.
I'm used the drivers that came with the card and also got the latest drivers off the site and its still not working. I have checked the processes running to see if anything could be using the device but i see none.
So i really hope you guys can help me![]()

Vdub is not freeing up the resources when you exit, you will need to re-boot to free them up
Other info

It works fine with its bundled software.
Might be worth dropping an email to you card's maker, someetimes drivers for the other OS, work better. I use ME drivers on a SE system for my webcam -
nah, it always works with flyvideo, but not with any other video capturing software

You can also try Virtual VCR: www.digtv.ws
Fly2000 is very unstable on my maschine. -
Come on guys.. you are overlooking the best capture proggy around
IUVCR www.iulabs.com
check it out.. works well wih the flyvideo 3000 -
Lol! I have thesame card, thesame problem!
I use iuvcr now, but I want to capture in virtualdub, or use it in freetv or moretv!!
And yes, mpeg1 quality is bad, and those uncompressed avi's aren't so cracked up as they say...
Oh (and you must hate this, if you have a solution, share!!!,)
There is only mono when you do a cable capture, I can't change, so now I'mcapturing the sound with flyvideo, adn later the video with iuvcr, sigh!
