i downloaded a movie that was created as an svcd movie.
but i didnt like the risult of the qualty and the size of the screenplay.
so i downloaded vcdgear to covert the bin/cue to mpg.
try to convert the mpg on thmpg, but the program didnt able to upload
the file.
it's wrote that the program didnt recognize the format.
so i dont know what to do ?
* the mpg file is ok, i can see the movie in windows media.
* i thougt that i covert the mpg to divx and then back to mpeg
with thmpg like i always do, but i dont know how to convert to divx.
so if anyone know what to do please, hhhhelp me !!!![]()

You can do what you want to the video but you will NEVER get better quality than what you have right now...it will only get worse. When converting from MPEG to Divx you will be losing data so when you shift it back to MPEG you will be "inventing" information (the stuff you lost converting to divx)
Remember... CRAP IN -> CRAP OUT
What you can do is either burn your bin/cue and extract the mpeg's from there or get a bin/cue viewer to do the same job. You can copy the .dat files and rename them to mpg or use VCDEasy to make them "true" mpeg's. Either way you should then be able to open them in TMPGEnc to re-size them to whatever you want....have a look on this site to find out how to get TMPGEnc to read MPEG2 files (look in the tools section) -

If your using the free version of TMPGEnc 2.55, then you should be able to convert Mpeg 2 (SVCD) by just installing the Nimo codec pack. If your using the latest version of TMPGEnc Plus 2.57, it wont work with those mpeg 2 codec's, you need to install something like Power DVD 4 then it will convert.
If your going to put the movie on a VCD not SVCD, you can use TMPGEnc to convert, at the same time you can select setting > advanced > clip frame.
From there you can experiment with the screen size. If the screen is almost full screen, you can use "Full screen" and crop out the tiny black borders. Normally you would select "full screen > keep aspect ratio"
