    Hello All,

I have very peculiar problem. I have a 730Mb file (Divx, 25fps, sound MP3). When I open the file no problem, but when I try to modify the file in any ways and then save the file then I get an error - Invalid AVI file: chunk 2036 extends outside of parent by 2028 bytes

    What does it mean?

On another note I have sound not synchronized in this file. Virtual Dun "recommended" to change frame rate -1.524 or +1800ms sound adjustment.
Maybe anyone can recommend some other program (utility) that might do the same actions?

    Thank you very much

When you save any changes are you using direct stream copy?

    Video > direct stream copy
    Audio > direct stream copy
    SAVE AVI

Did Vdub warn about a VBR ?
If you intend to modify this file, then saving out just the audio to cure the sync problem, may not be any good, instead you need to save out the video and audio uncompressed then can edit the uncompressed AVI

However try the audio save first...
    Audio > full processing mode
    Audio > Conversion > 44.1 Khz
    SAVE WAV

Now that you saved that out, you can use the original AVI, but use the WAV as the audio, you should now be able to edit the frames or scan for junk without problems, then save using a stream copy

Nimo codec pack, if you have problems with the MP3

Other AVI's that have AC3 audio need "Vdub AC3"
