Did you make the .mpg with TMPGEnc, and did you load a VCD template. Did you use high quality disks ?

  5. the vcds and svcds i have used are usually downloaded, i have made a few of my own with tmpeg, is there any file that will let me know if it's pal or ntsc or whatever, because i think it says that it has to be ntsc,

it still seems weird to me because my vcds played right when i got it, then i tested an svcd, i don't know if it was encoded wrong, but now it won't play either vcd or svcd.
thanks for everyones help, if anyone knows the solution to this mystery let me know

    thanks!

    Yes the screen size
    352X288 PAL 352x240 NTSC VCD
    480x576 PAL 480x480 NTSC SVCD

Does your player play PAL ? if not then you must use NTSC
