    i got an error messege(error obtaining class factory for encoder object)
    but the file carried on encoding anyway.at the time i was d/loading a dvd rip which i found was unsupported.was error messege for the encoder or the unsupported file?

    Unsupported file, means you have a codec missing. Install the Nimo codec pack for most AVI problems, or DivX 5.02 . Since its a DVD rip, you may have the video codec but not the audio codec.
