Hey I was reading a hacker's FAQ on the Xbox (which I own, but enough about that).
Anyways they mentioned that you can encode video files into DVD software format, and then burn them onto several CD-RW's.
    How exactly would this work?

  2. If you are talking about ripping a DVD then encoding to VCD and burning onto CDR. Read the how to section

<<<<<<<------------ It is all explained over there.

    No I'm not.
As I just said, encoding videos in DVD-software format, then burning them (still in DVD format) onto CD-RW's.

Here's what the site (http://www.xbox-emulation.co.uk/Xbox-Faq.shtml) said:
"Can the Xbox play VCD's or SVCD's ?

In short no - the xbox does not run the media formats that VCD or SVCD's are recorded in,
but you can get software that will convert VCD or SVCD's into DVD format & write a movie
onto a normal CD that a DVD player can read. Good luck with that one "

I'm wondering how this would be done.

  4. It sounds like you are talking about miniDVD, you can only get about 15 mins of video on a disc, and hardly any stand alone DVD players will play them.
