  1. Hi-I'm still pretty new to this but I have successfully made a few VCD's transfering VHS (Svideo,Pinnacle TV pro,Power VCR and Nero to convert and burn)All the VCD's have played in my DVD player but my main use is playing them in my Micron233mmx laptop's CDrom!---I just got this message on only one of the segments(2 hr VHS tape broken into 8 segments) In Nero it said I need to purchase a MPEG 2 codec? Why did it pick this one segment and not the others? Do I need to buy this? Any suggestions whould be great. Thanks Christie

  3. Hi--I installed the Nimo codec pack which says it has a MPEG2 encoder-I can't figure out why I get this message with only this one part of the video? It says something about a Patient licence and then directs me to Nero.com to purchase this codec! Why would all the other parts of the video be ok?It was a Madonna concert I taped on HBO. I'll keep trying Thanks Christie

it detected it as a non standard mpeg for some reason and wants to re-encode it for you i guess -- dont let it ..
