  1. I recently attempted to convert a .vob file to a mpeg file. I also tried to convert it to a .bin file, However, when I converted them they finished succesfully but quicktime can't open the mpeg file and toast cant burn it. Toast recognizes the .bin file but when I burn it it wont play right. I know there is nothing wrong with my dvd player because I have tons of vcds and svcds and they work fine. I tried to play both the mpeg and bin file with Video Lan (VLC) and it played properly. I also tried to use vcdgear to convert mpeg to mpeg and selected toast ready mpeg but that did not work either. The vob file is a small tom green clip that is about 30 seconds, so i tried this many times. Im sure I had the settings right for video and audio, but when the conversion completed the output file never ended with bin or mpeg, so i tried changing it myself. I also tried telling FFMpegX to save it with the ending .mpeg or .bin but that did not work either! Major...Please help because If I could get your program to work correctly for me....it would be the coolest thing ever! Ive been trying forever to make backup vcds of my dvds and this may finally be my big brake! Anyone help from anyone would be greatly appreciated....thanks in advance.... JAT

  5. Major-

Thanks a ton! It worked...I also would like to add in a quick suggestion to the next version of ffMpegX...could it be made to convert divx and vob and all that to mpeg or mpeg2 also? Thanks for helping and for making this program...its about time someone made a decent way to rip dvds on a mac! -JAT
