  1. i had probs capturing with movie maker and encoding to dv avi for dvd burn,a friend said try capturing with premiere straight to file in avi. i set it up with different templates the only way i could get it to work without problems is to use the video for windows preset 640x480 0r 720x480, i captured like 5 mins with my vcr going to my tvwonder ve card and it looked great!
feeling great i popped in a tape (1 hour) and let her capture, says not a frame lost looked to be no probs saved it to file about 9 gigs i think. so i try to open it with every program i can imagine and it says its unsupported or corrupted! if i capture using same settings for like 5 mins or so its just great?!!
do i have a setting wrong? should i capture with virtuadub and screw premiere? if so can someone mail me a brief virtuadub capture how to?
thanx specs and email are in my profile

premiere will only capture a max 2gig avi with that setting ..

    use AVI_IO instead ...

what happened is that up to 2gig everything is fine but over that it is screwed ...

yes - i know NTFS will allow a larger avi -- but it is premiere thats the problem.

what capture compression were you using anyway ?
