    i ahve got to seperate about twenty audio tracks from a huge wav file i recorded off a cassette tape. i need to save the files individually and add them back into a videotime line later. I use premiere-can this be done in premiere? how? simple is the key. thanks again--another last minute project for mike

  2. Do a search for wave file editors or wave file splitter or something like that in http://www.download.com. You should be able to find something there.

    I use Premiere all of the time for anything and everything video. There couldn't be a better solution for you, because of Premiere's Timeline, you can do all of this in one session of the program, and fairly quickly. Premiere will let you seperate the audio tracks with the razor tool with frame accuracy. Then you can export each individual slice that you have created as a seperate file, which you can then import later on in future Premiere projects.
