    Ok. I downloaded a movie and it is around 700mbs. It is in AVI format and I cannot play it. I've downloaded the latest codecs many times but no luck. WMP does not play it. I am also on WinXP if that helps. I've tried to use DivXfix but it says that the file is not an .avi. Windows tells me that it is avi format. Argh. I need help badly please because it took a lot of time to download 700mb on 56k. Virtuadub also doesn't open it.

    Help would be very much appreciated.

    OK, first install the Nimo codec pack, it has most of the codec's
    Also you may need Divx 5.02

    Finally if those don't work, you need the Fake codec, for the Fake movies
