I have installed Virtual Dub on my Home PC and I cannot get it to display the video when I dub an .avi file. I open the file in Virtual Dub and instead of getting 2 view boxes (in and out) with the .avi movie in them I get 2 black view boxes. I can dub the audio off the .avi but I can't dub the video. I installed Direct X 8.1 and it didn't correct the problem. ANy advice?
Thanks,
Woody

It sounds like you're missing the proper codec.
Check the TOOLS tab on the left. There's a file called NIMO CODECS that has several. -
