  1. I am having problems with the program TMPGEnc. I have gone through the program to convert my files into Video cd format and when I do so and the file gets converted into an *.mpg it gives me sound but no video.

I am very new to this and am having problems understanding the directions that are given in the how to's within this site.

Are there settings within the program that I am forgetting to use?

Any input would be greatly appreciated

    Thank You.

You can use the VCD default values by going to Load and then selecting the program template to the kind of format you want to make. However, there are some more templates available on the 'Net, Kwag Templates just being one of the better ones, that will also make a formatted VCD .mpg file for you. Once TMPGEnc has made this file for you, you would then use you favorite burner to create you masterpiece.

  3. Ok.....I have figured out how to get the conversion to work with video+audio appearing, however when it converts it says it will take over 3.5 hrs to convert. Do these files usually take that long to convert? Also, I created a small *.mpg of the file I wanted to convert and the bar that moves along with the movie was not moving at the correct pace....it was already at the end of the bar before the clip had ended. Is there a way to correct this?

It depends on the size of the file, the type of resolution, and bit rate you convert with to name a few criteria.

Which bar in which program are you referring>

  6. Does anyone know why after I've converted my *.avi file to a *.mpg file and play it in a program like Windows media player the seek bar (the bar that allows you to move to a different part of the video) doesn't run at the same rate as the movie itself. The seek bar runs for about 28 seconds and then it thinks that the movie is finished, but the movie itself continues to play.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank You.
