    Sounds good enough to get a spare. Is it the type of firewire cable which connects to a Sony camcorder? That was the cable I needed which was expensive. Fortunately the card I got from Aria had that type of cable.

    Well, it works on a PD150 which is a professional Sony (as used by Louis Theroux) so I'm sure it will work on your Sony as well.
