I am wondering why a VCD will play with out any problems on my XP Pro PC but when I try to play it on my Win2K Pro laptop all I get is bunch of green boxes or I get a message telling me that it is an unsuported format. Can someone help me out please?
    Thanx

Well you are using two different DVD players, sounds like one of them don't like the disk you made. If the VCD mpeg 1 was fully compliant, then try a different brand of disk.

Actually none of them are DVD Players, they are both simply CDRoms just on a different OSs & different PCs

I believe he was thinking of each machine as a "player". They have two different OS's, different CD-ROM's, and possibly different sets of CODECs installed. So, as he said, "one of them don't like the disk you made".
