  1. Isnt that a little big for a 700mb disc, thats the size of the .avi I converted to a mpeg-1...

what should i do? how will it fit...

  2. If Mpeg1 you converted is a VCD compliance, just clip of 2MB, it should be able to fit nicely on 700mb/80mins CD. If not compliance then 702 is a max HDD file size.

  4. I've burned a mpeg that was 827 megs with no problems using VCDEasy, on a very old Yamaha 4x2x6 burner. It had no problem burning and playing on my DvD player. I simply allowed it to overburn in VCDEasy settings.

The only problem I had was making another copy. I had to use Nero and specify overburn.

    WOW...27 megs overburn???

I thought I was hot shit with my 10 mb...I have an old Yamaha as well...it turns 4 in a month and it has never let me down.

@Executioner - what do you normally overburn at? I aim for about 10 MB usually, but I have never tried above 20...how reliable is it?

  6. No, not overburn... I think its the transcoding from MPEG to DAT,
the resulting file will be smaller than the source MPEG if Im not
mistaken. At any rate, whatever the reason is, its *not* overburning! 8)
