vcd header trick for svcd...please help

hello...i read on the svcd nfo page bout tricking a dvd player to play svcds...heres my problem...i got a dvd rip...i open tmpeg and do a simple mutliplux...and i also tried the merge and cut method...the original file is 45 mins long...and for some reason both ways it make the file 90 mins long..so no software will burn it...pleas help..thank you

wot file type is it? Did u convert it to vcd?

my source file is the dat file in the mpeg 2 dir on the svcd...and im choosing video cd mpeg header for the output file...do i need to convert the dat to mpeg? if so how do i do that?
