  1. The largest problem I am encountering when working with files between TMPGEnc and Nero 5.5.7.8 is file size. I tried the merge and cut tool in TMPGEnc. I have captured 141 minutes of MPEG1 at a high bitrate in MMC 7.5 which ended up at 6 gig's (I know, overkill). I set the range to approx 785 MB's (to fill one 80 min cd) TMPGEnc said this clip was 220 minutes long! When I tried to burn this cut file in Nero it said it was 1.7 gig's. My DVD player, like Nero, sees high bitrate files as many times their actual length in minutes. I have to use trial and error to get files at an appropriate size for 80 min cd's. How do you convert bitrate to time because these programs certainly don't do it?

  2. Same exact clip, first one encode @ 1.15Mbs, second at double bitrate 2.30Mbs. Time seems just a calc of the total estimated sectors use on CD. 9228/18447*4.05mins=2.02599mins

BTW.. for VCD compliance, HDD max file size is 807MB,
non compliance or other format 702MB, (I think I got by to 720MB with overburnt option on).
