CCE not recognizing .vdr file

Having trouble changing an AVI into SVCD using CCE. I am in the "FOOLPROOF AVI,DivX to SVCD using CCE" section on step 8 (where you add the vdr file from virtual dub to cce). When I add the vdr file, my CCE (version 2.62 SP) says it cannot add cause it is not a avi file. I am folowing the directions, any help?

You need CCE 2.5
