trouble with menus..

I'm new to all this VCD making stuff and I used nero to make a menu for a vcd I made and I start the VCD up and the menu comes up....but then the movie wont play, I cant figure it out, I pushed all the buttons I could think of but the menu won't go away, does the menu count as a track? because it only says theres one track, but it's the amount of time the movie should be...please help me!

When the menu screen appears, press the number 1 on the remote. it should take u to the first track.
