I am distributing video for a local club and want to make the CD's playable on both DVD players and computers. Additionally, I'd like to have some program data on the disk to be used in everyone's computers. Can this be done using software like Nero or EZ CD creator? Any tips or comments are appreciated.

Use the EXT directory.
You might also add things through the use of "biography" "abstract" "Copyright" options. -
That and you can always add other directories to your disk content and add the files you want. You may also want to consider using an autostart program that will give the users a menu to view the movie, install a vcd playing program and view the extra files.
