  1. Hi,
I have used CCE to convert some AVI's to MPEG2. Im trying to burn the mpegs onto DVD using the how to guide. When I use DVDPatcher, is says the bitrate is 6000000, the size is 512x384 and the frame rate is 23.976. The guide doesn't say what to patch the header to so I tried both settings, but I can't get SpruceUp to accept the patched file.

    Anyone got any suggestions?

    Cheers

Burning to DVD? I don't think so with this motley lot. The DVD spec is very specific, and there is NO 512x384 video size. Also, there is no 23.976 frame rate.

If you are going to do this, do it right. Re-encode the original AVI with a resizeing filter it to bring the total size to 720x480 (or 576 if you are PAL). Be sure to turn on the CCE DVD COMPLIENT box. Then apply PULLDOWN to bring your 23.976 frame rate to 29.97 (but this is the NTSC standard).

Once this is done, Spruceup will love you (and your video!).
