Can someone tell me, step by step, 2 things I have been trying to figure out.
One, how to convert an avi file properly to vcd or svcd format on a disk(using 2 disks), or 2, how to re-encode a svcd so that it has no black borders, and the video is in proportion. I prefer using lsx-mpeg because its a much faster encoder.
Thank you for your 'step by step' answer(s).

In TMPGENC Browse for AVI then load one of the templates, PAL or NTSC VCD or SVCD

As for re-encoding to remove black borders, you can go to the settings > Advanced > Clip frame
From there you can experiment, but if you chose "Full screen" this will remove the borders, but at the same time you will loose part of the picture. Its better to leave it at "Full screen keep aspect ration"

With a wide screen TV you can zoom them out.

If your using TMPGEnc Plus 2.57, and SVCD you may need to install Power DVD 4, to get the correct codec, the freeware version should work with just the Nimo codec pack

    Sorry no info on lsx-mpeg
